Business Intelligence software and consulting

Is your data an asset or a liability? How to transform information into intelligence.

Everyday, businesses and governments spend huge sums of money collecting and storing data. Clearview Informatics is about helping organizations use this steady stream of data flowing through their network to drive revenue, profits and operational efficiency. We implement the software and the processes to get data out of your databases and into the hands of the staff who can use it.

We have a multi-step approach to business intelligence.

  1. Take inventory. Is your organization heavily reliant on spreadsheets and email? Where is your data? What database software and reporting tools are you currently using?
  2. Gather requirements from the business users and line managers. Map out the business processes that can be enabled or enhanced with better reports.
  3. Create a technical road-map. What infrastructure do you need in place to support the requirements? What is the most cost effective way to grow to meet future demands? How will it be maintained?
  4. Investigate software vendors. What software packages meet the requirements and fit into your existing infrastructure? How much customization will be necessary? Are the licenses cost effective and flexible enough for future requirements?
  5. Evaluate staff and service providers. How much technical training will be required before any work even begins? What work can be outsourced to save time?
  6. Define projects, time-lines and milestones. Start with some well defined objectives, then build on subsequent successes.
  7. Execute on a change management program. This includes workshops, end user training and setting expectations across the organization.
  8. “Go live” and start reaping the benefits. Choose an opportune time to roll out the project. Collect statistics to calculate an accurate return on investment (ROI).
  9. Solicit user feedback. Start work on enhancements to improve the system. From a technical perspective, start work on any automation that can save administrative and maintenance work.
  10. Congratulate the team. Do a project recap and document the lessons learned. Some time should be allotted to complete any knowledge transfer from outside consultants.
